Olympic Gold Medalist Dominique Dawes will open up another Dominique Dawes Academy in Silver Spring in mid-February. It marks a meaningful homecoming for the gymnastics legend and the Academy’s third location in Montgomery County.
“Silver Spring is where my journey began. It’s my hometown and it’s where I first fell in love with gymnastics,” said the three-time Olympian Dawes. “Bringing the Academy here feels deeply personal. I want local kids to experience the same joy, confidence, and sense of community that shaped my own childhood,” Dawes added.
“Our vision is to provide high-quality gymnastics and ninja training programs that meet kids where they are by encouraging joy, confidence, and physical well-being,” said Adam Zeitsiff, CEO of Dominique Dawes Academy. “This new Silver Spring location reinforces our commitment to making fitness fun and accessible for families across the region.”

Dawes already has Academy locations in Clarksburg and Rockville. Dawes has plans to expand nationally with the goal of 50 locations across the country in the next five years.
The Silver Spring Academy will be located at 12006 Plum Orchard Drive in White Oak. The gym will feature the Academy’s newly reimagined gymnastics and ninja brand experience.
