Timothy Pack, 22, of McLean, Virginia was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a 2024 crash in Rockville that killed Jasmin Gimon, 25, and seriously injured his then-girlfriend.
Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Jill Cummins sentenced Pack last week after he pleaded guilty in April to gross negligent manslaughter by motor vehicle, second-degree assault, and failure to render aid after an accident, according to a June 18 press release from the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Crash Timeline
April 27, 2024, about 2:25 a.m. – Two Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies riding together in a marked cruiser saw Pack’s Dodge Charger traveling at a high rate of speed, according to an April 27 news release.
The deputies activated their lights and sirens and attempted to catch up to Pack, according to the August 7, 2024 report from the Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General.
About 2:27 a.m. – Pack, traveling northbound on Rockville Pike (Rte. 355), Pack collided with Gimon, who was making a left turn out of the TGI Fridays parking lot after finishing her shift.
According to the State’s Attorney’s Office, the posted speed limit on that section of Rout 355 is 40 mph. Pack was traveling more than 100 mph and did not apply the brakes before the collision.
Pack’s Charger careened to the left, jumped the curb and tumbled into the Federal Plaza parking lot. The vehicle landed on its roof and briefly caught fire. Pack fled the scene on foot, leaving his girlfriend trapped in the car. Witnesses helped her until first responders arrived and removed her from the vehicle.
First responders from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue, Maryland State Police and Montgomery County Police arrived at the crash shortly after the collision. Gimon was pronounced dead on the scene, suffering “left rib and clavicle fractures, multiple skull fractures, and fatal brain injuries as a result of the collision”. Pack’s passenger sustained serious injuries.
About one hour later – Authorities apprehend Pack.

The Maryland Office of the Attorney General published an investigation last August, stating they declined to pursue charges against the two deputies who saw Pack speeding and engaged in a brief pursuit prior to the crash.
