During a traffic stop on Cherry Hill Road in White Oak, Montgomery County police officers found a loaded handgun under the driver’s seat.
The driver was arrested. He told police he bought the gun on the street in New York.
Montgomery County police said they had cause to lawfully searched the car during the traffic stop.
Officers in the 3rd District expect to continue enforcement along Cherry Hill Road near Gracefield Road where the incident occurred through this weekend.
