Bethesda
- Reserve a spot for a free and relaxing Vinyasa Flow session at the Pike District Pop Up Park on Sept. 12. Don’t forget your yoga mat, water, bug spray and sunscreen.
- Take a creative stroll down Bethesda Row on Sept. 12 and 13 for their 28th Annual Arts Festival. Original works will be presented by artists, including sculptures, ceramics, paintings and more.
Silver Spring
- Dance the day away at the Silver Spring Jazz Fest Veterans Plaza on Sept. 12. This free lineup of jazz, soul and funk music will be headlined by Grammy-nominated artist Cimafunk!
- Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month by enjoying local award-winning films at the AFI Latin American Film Festival from Sept. 16-Oct. 7. The festival will include filmmaker conversations, feature films and other events from Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Tickets are now on sale, ranging from $15-$200.

- Discover original art from local Latino artists at the “Colores” opening reception, hosted by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. From Sept. 13-Oct. 15 community members can enjoy and purchase local pieces at the BlackRock Center for Arts.
- Purchase and feast on locally grown and made food at the Derwood Farmers Market. Enjoy brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Sept. 12-Oct. 10.
Poolesville
- Enjoy a day of local family fun at Poolesville Day on Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free event will include live music, mechanical rides, agricultural demonstrations and more.
- Join Habitat for Humanity in celebrating their 7th Annual Polo Classic event on Sept. 26. The day will feature two polo matches and a festive contest for best hat and best dressed.
Gaithersburg
- Take your 4-8-year-old child to the Instrument Petting Zoo at the Gaithersburg Library for an introduction to new instruments. Hosted by BreezeWood Strings, children can experience hands-on-instruction on how to play the guitar, ukulele, cello, drums and more.
- Experience Montgomery County’s very own ComicCon at RisuCon on Sept. 26. Held at Montgomery County Fair Ground, the convention will host community vendors, cosplay contests, game room tournaments and more.
