Walter Woods, 20, of Takoma Park, was pronounced dead following a shooting Tuesday night in the 1700 block of Hampshire Green Lane.
No one is in custody, and the investigation continues.

Montgomery County Police officers are investigating a homicide that occurred at 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Hampshire Green Lane in Silver Spring.
Officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
As of Wednesday morning, no one was in custody.
MCPD is on scene of a shooting in the 1800 block of Hampshire Green Ln. Major Crimes is on scene.
