First Sheetz in County Will Offer Lower Gas Prices to Celebrate Opening

The first-ever Sheetz in Montgomery County will offer gas prices as low as $2.99 per gallon on Thursday and Friday to celebrate its opening in Gaithersburg.

Sheetz, a restaurant and convenience chain, opens a new location at 751 Progress Way on Thursday, according to a release.

The reduced prices at the location will start at 9 a.m. Thursday and end at 11:59 p.m. Friday.

Prices will vary based on fuel grades. Per the release, the following prices will be offered:

  • Regular: $2.999
  • Mid-grade: $3.299
  • Premium: $3.599
  • E15: $2.699
  • E85: $2.499
  • Diesel: $3.499

Also, 10 cents from every gallon sold over the period will be donated to the Special Olympics of Maryland, according to the release.

A grand opening will be held outside the store starting at 1 p.m. Thursday, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony set for 2:45 p.m. Festivities include a grand prize giveaway of free Sheetz for a Year, with a value of $2,500 in a gift card.
