1. Municipal Monday: Gaithersburg’s Mayor and Council meet for a works session at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 31 S. Summit Ave. Here’s the agenda.

2. MCPS Board of Education Meets:  The Board meets today from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with public agenda items beginning at 11 a.m. The public portion of the meeting will be broadcast live on the MCPS website and on MCPS TV (Comcast Channel 34). Click here for the agenda.

3. Sentimental Journey Singers Open House:  A new choir for adults diagnosed with early to moderate Alzheimer’s disease and other memory struggles is forming at the Bender JCC of Greater Washington in Rockville. 4. Advisory Board: The Silver Spring Citizens Advisory Board meets at 7 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veterans Place. The agenda includes a legislative and policy update with Council President Sidney Katz.

5. The Black History of the White House:  Dr. Clarence Lusane, professor and author, presents the history of the White House as experienced by African Americans at the Connie Morella Library in Bethesda from 7 to 8 p.m.
