Flags at Half-Staff for Fallen Capitol Hill Officer

Montgomery County Circuit Court

On Friday, April 2, President Joe Biden ordered the United States flag to be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of the most recent attack on the U.S. Capitol — including Officer William “Billy” Evans — who was killed when a man in a car rammed into a police barricade that day. Flags will be flown at half-staff until sunset on April 6. As a matter of protocol, the Maryland flag is also flown at half-staff.
