Silver Spring Crash Entraps Woman, Two Transported

Just before 6:02 a.m. Wednesday morning, emergency personnel responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in Four Corners.

The two-car “collision with entrapment” happened near the intersection of Colesville Road and Southville Avenue, said Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service Assistant Chief David Pazos in an X post.

MCFRS crews found a woman trapped inside one of the cars. Both drivers were “transported with non life threatening injuries,” he said.

As of 6:38 a.m., traffic in the area “remains slow,” according to Pezos. As of publication, MCM could not find any official traffic condition updates.

This crash comes three hours after a fatal head-on collision in Burtonsville, which killed one and injured another. Both crashes followed another nonfatal collision in Gaithersburg involving an overturned vehicle. A bystander sustained injuries, and the driver “[declined] medical transport,” according to Pezos in an X post.
