Gaithersburg Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Rockville Pike Shooting

A 23-year-old Gaithersburg man has been charged with attempted second-degree murder after a shooting last month that left one man seriously injured, according to Montgomery County police.

Police say Davion Gray shot the victim during a confrontation on April 21 in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Rockville Pike. Investigators determined a group of people were involved in an argument that turned physical, leading up to the shooting. Gray allegedly fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene.

The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police identified Gray during the investigation and arrested him on an outstanding warrant.

He faces charges including attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Gray is being held without bond. The investigation is ongoing.
