Gov. Moore Orders Maryland Flag to Half Staff in Honor of Fallen Heroes

The Maryland state flag will fly at half-staff Friday for Maryland Fallen Heroes Day. Governor Moore ordered the flag to be lowered from sunrise to sunset.

Maryland observes Fallen Heroes Day on the first Friday of May. The day honors Maryland police, firefighters, and emergency medical/rescue personnel who have died in the line of duty.

There will be a ceremony at the Fallen Heroes Memorial at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens Friday at 1 p.m. which is open to the public.
