The Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA) will host informational webinars on the Rent Stabilization Law and Executive Regulations. The meetings will provide training for tenants, landlords and other community stakeholders on the policy.
Since July 1, the rent stabilization increase allowance is 5.7%, a decrease from the 6% limit in 2024. This means that landlords of county-licensed residential rentals at least 23 years old can only increase their rates within the designated percentage.
DHCA organized three sessions: one for landlords and property management, and two separate sessions for English and Spanish-speaking tenants and community members.
