Indian Science Incubator Signs Agreement During County’s Business Visit

Officials from a company in Hyderabad, India announced they signed an agreement to improve bilateral trade agreement in the United States during County Executive Marc Elrich’s trip to India and Vietnam for an economic development trade mission.

IKP Knowledge Park in Hyderabad noted that “Elrich delivered a special speech” that emphasized mutual benefits.

According to a post on X, IKP said this “will facilitate partnerships with IKPĀ startupsĀ fostering the exchange of innovative ideas & technologies. They will also improve bilateral trade relations between India and the US and enable Indian companies to expand their footprint in the US & vice-versa.”

According to its website, IKP Knowledge Park (IKP) is in a 200-acre pollution free zone and has the goal of “nurturing an environment for innovation and the expected growth in life sciences and related fields.”

The company’s mission is “building a world-class ecosystem for fostering leading edge innovation.”

Elrich, along with Council President Evan Glass and other county officials, is touring India and Vietnam during a two-week period to bring jobs, new technologies and new products here.
