Jake Funk Signs with Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are signing Damascus High School and University of Maryland alum Jake Funk to their practice squad according to Jeff Zrebiec from The Athletic.

The Ravens’ 11-3 record is tied for best in the NFL so far with San Francisco with three games remaining.

Funk, a third-year running back, was taken in the 7th round in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. Though he was not active for the game, Funk earned a Super Bowl ring with the Rams. He also had short stints with the New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins the last two years.

Funk, the 2015 Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year and Washington Post All-Met Offensive Player of the Year at Damascus, will turn 26 on Jan. 11.
