Juveniles Released to Their Parents in Connection with Stolen Vehicle

Two juveniles were released to the custody of their parents after Takoma Park Police responded to the area of Maple and Philadelphia avenues for reports of three males by an abandoned vehicle June 1 at 8:30 p.m.

When police arrived, the officers noticed a vehicle with its rear passenger window busted out, its ignition punched and the engine running.

A witness described three subjects who were on foot, police said.

Two of the three subjects were apprehended in the District of Columbia by Metropolitan Police, who had been notified and had responded to the area. The subjects were 15 and 17 years from the District.
