Latest Iteration of Kids Day Out Keeps Students Active Outside the Classroom

Kids Day Out, offered jointly by Montgomery County Recreation and Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), had its most recent day of out-of-school activities for elementary schoolers Monday.

The program encourages students to take advantage of days with no school, offering fun activities from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at over a dozen recreation centers across the county.

The two organizations also hold similar out-of-school activities for middle schoolers ages 11-14 called Teens Day Out, offered at a select few locations.

The next Day Out programs will be held on April 10 and 22, with teens also scheduled for March 27. Availability for these dates are filled in some locations, so prospective participants are encouraged to visit ActiveMontgomery.org to register for open slots. Kids Day Out can be found under activity number R05113 and Teens Day Out under R09017.

The customer service team is also available for assistance with registration at 240.777.6840.
