
Police seek witnesses after a man died recently following an altercation at Silver Diner in Rockville.
Last Wednesday, May 21, officers responded to Silver Diner on Rockville Pike close to midnight for a reported assault, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
According to Bethesda Magazine a patron attacked the diner manager. When employees intervened, the patron became unconscious.
Fredi Torres, 49, of Gaithersburg, was found unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital and was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be done to officially determine the cause and manner of death, according to police.
Police do not have additional information to release until the results of the autopsy are received early next week, the police department told MCM.
