Silver Spring’s Mansoor Delane expected to be a first round NFL pick

The highly anticipated NFL Draft takes place this Thursday night in Pittsburgh. Silver Spring native Mansoor Delane will likely be selected in the top 10.

The cornerback finished his illustrious college career at Louisiana State University. He is drawing interest from several NFL teams, including the Washington Commanders.

Delane is listed by top NFL evaluators as the number one player at his position.

Delane started his high school career at Landon School in Bethesda but then transferred and graduated from Archbishop Spalding in Severn, Maryland.

At LSU, Delane earned First Team All-SEC honors and was a unanimous First Team All-American.

The 2026 NFL Draft will take place between Thursday, April 23 and Saturday the 25th in Pittsburgh.
