March is Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month.

To commemorate the month, Councilmember Nancy Navarro presented a proclamation recognizing the Fire Fit Fire Smart Program during a council meeting Tuesday. The program empowers girls to explore career paths in fire services. Next Tuesday, March 8 is International Women’s Day.

The Montgomery County Commission for Women invites residents ages 5 and older to take part in its Girl Power Contest. Submissions are accepted through March 31.
