Maryland Transit Administration Seeking Input on Commuter Rail Growth

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is seeking public input through a survey on developing goals for the Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) service.

The survey is part of the MARC Growth and Transformation Plan. The plan will expand upon the 2019 MARC Cornerstone Plan, which provided strategic priorities and investment into the MARC system.

“The agency is seeking the public’s help in redefining the vision and goals of the MARC Train system so that it meets the needs of all Marylanders,” according to the MTA survey. “The study area includes the existing MARC Train service area and potential extensions to Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia.”

Residents interested in providing input can take the survey here.
