"Planned location for Silver Spring pedestrian bridge" Via. MCDOT

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will host an in-person public information meeting on Wednesday, March 6, to discuss plans for a pedestrian bridge in Silver Spring.

The bridge would cross over a tributary to the Northwest Branch Anacostia River, connecting the walking paths between Auth Lane and Kersey Road in Silver Spring. The goal is to enhance safety for pedestrians as they travel to nearby schools and facilities.

The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at Odessa Shannon Middle School, located at 11800 Monticello Avenue in Silver Spring. MCDOT will present project details, costs, schedules and obtain public comments and answer questions.

MCDOT encourages public feedback via email to the Project Manager, Rashid Abramov, at Rashid.Abramov@montgomerycountymd.gov.

All information provided, including questions and comments, will become a matter of public record.
