Minimum Wage Increases on July 1

The minimum wage in Montgomery County rises again on July 1.

The minimum wage for those working at large companies with at least 51 employees will be $16.70 per hour. Those working at companies with 11 to 50 employees will have a starting salary of $15 per hour as of July 1.

The minimum rate will be $14.50 per hour for those working with one to 10 other employees.

One year ago, Montgomery County’s minimum wage for large employers rose to $15.65.  Minimum wage for mid-sized employers (11 to 50 employees) increased to $14.50 per hour. It was raised to $14 for small employers (10 employees or fewer).
