Damascus Store Sells $170,566 Lottery Ticket

Two Maryland Lottery fast play tickets were big winners Thursday, including a ticket sold in Damascus worth $170,566.

The other progressive jackpot ticket was sold at Kenilworth Liquors in Riverdale Park. A customer bought a $5 World Championship Poker ticket that won a progressive jackpot worth $107,801.

The Damascus Liberty store located at 26421 Ridge Road in Damascus sold the winning Casino Slots Royale progressive jackpot lottery ticket for $5. The store receives a bonus of $1,000 from the lottery for selling the winning ticket.

Maryland allows lottery winners to remain anonymous.

The Powerball jackpot is currently estimated at $427 million after Wednesday’s drawing did not produce a jackpot winner. The next drawing takes place Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
