It’s March Madness and Montgomery County has a few players that will be representing in this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Gaithersburg’s very own Jordan Hawkins, a 6’5″ guard at the University of Connecticut, will be someone to look out for this week. He spent his first two years of high school playing for the Gaithersburg Trojans where he averaged 20 points per game his sophomore year leading the Trojans to a 18-3 regular season record. He transferred to DeMatha Catholic High School, became the Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year and went on to earn a scholarship to UConn as a top national 75 recruit.
