Montgomery County Recreation Offers Opportunities for Job Seekers

Montgomery County Recreation (MCR) actively looks to fill seasonal summer positions at employment hiring fairs.

MyMCM visited their job fair at the Upper County Community Recreation Center on Saturday and spoke with current employees and job seekers.

MCR will host its third job fair of the month on Sunday, April 24 at the Wheaton Community Recreation Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The in-person fair will promote seasonal part-time positions this summer with MCR.

A variety of fields offer open positions – aquatics, summer camp, sports, and more, according to a press release.

Candidates who register ahead of time for an interview slot will receive priority. Walk-in interviews will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Those unable to attend the job fair can find open positions on the County’s Office of Human Resource website.

Applicants must be at least 15 years old and able to pass a criminal background investigation. The salary for part-time/seasonal jobs is $15 per hour but can increase based on experience.

The Wheaton Community Recreation Center is located at 11701 Georgia Avenue.
