Montgomery Parks to Hold ‘Frankenskate’ Costume Party on Oct. 28

Montgomery Parks is set to hold “Frankenskate” at Ridge Road Recreational Park on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Those attending are invited to come dressed in their best Halloween costumes to enjoy an afternoon of music, lawn games and treats.

Skaters will be greeted with the sounds of a DJ spinning “spooky throwbacks” according to a press release.

While registration for the event is not required and is open to all ages and skating abilities, those who wish to skate must bring their own skates as rentals will not be available. Guests are also encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and picnic blankets.

With all activities open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. those attending can expect the following:

  • Free skating on the Ridge Road Inline Rink
  • Food for purchase by local vendors
    • Two Smooth Dudes
    • Catalyst Hotdogs
    • Churros Inc.
  • Music provided by a DJ

Costumes are encouraged but guests are asked to refrain from a costume that could inhibit their or others’ ability to skate. Such costumes include face coverings and capes or gowns that can pose a tripping hazard.

Free parking is available in the on-site parking lot. Those with questions can contact info@montgomeryparks.org or 301-495-2595.
