Montgomery Village Man Found Guilty of Killing Wife in ‘No Body Murder’

A Montgomery Village man has been found guilty of killing his wife in 2019, according to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office (MCSAO).

Jean Pierre, 50, was found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of 41-year-old Nerlande Foreste in circuit court on Friday, according to MCSAO, and the jury deliberated for only two hours.

In August 2019, Pierre stabbed and killed his wife in their home on Rothbury Lane in Montgomery Village, per MCSAO. He placed Foreste’s body in a shipping container and put it in a dumpster.

On Monday, Montgomery County State’s Attorney John McCarthy said the verdict is particularly noteworthy because it concerns a “no body murder.”

Foreste’s body has never been recovered and “is likely never to be recovered based on the way the body was disposed of,” McCarthy said.

The defendant and victim had been married for about three years.

McCarthy said Pierre’s daughter — Foreste’s stepdaughter — was the state’s star witness in the case, “testifying against her biological father, who took the life of her stepmother.”

“Without her, we could have not made this case,” McCarthy said.

Pierre faces up to 40 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced July 14.
