Rockville City Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded to a call near Chapman Avenue and Twinbrook Parkway Monday evening at approximately 8:25 p.m. The report involved a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
When they arrived officers found an adult female pedestrian who had been struck. The woman died after being transported to an area hospital. A child, her son, was also struck and transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained on scene. MCPD’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this collision.
