Montgomery County police identified the victim of the fatal crash in White Oak on Wednesday.
15-year-old Tayeba Rezaie, of Pasadena, was a passenger in a Lexus that was traveling south on Lockwood Drive near Northwest Drive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to witnesses, the driver of the Lexus overtook a RideOn Flash bus and then entered the intersection of Lockwood and Northwest drives. The driver, an 18-year-old male, then veered left to avoid hitting a Toyota Corolla but ending up clipping the front of that car. That driver lost control and left the road and crashed into a wooden utility pole.
A 20-year-old female passenger in the Lexus was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The Lexus driver sustained minor injuries and was not transported. A 28-year-old female occupant in his car sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

A teenage girl was killed and another female vehicle passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in White Oak.
An 18-year-old male was driving a Lexus GS350 on Lockwood Drive near Burnt Mills Avenue at around 11:19 a.m when he lost control of the vehicle and struck another vehicle and then a pole, according to Montgomery County police.
The two females were passengers in the Lexus. The driver sustained minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital.
The driver and passenger in the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital, police said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
