Pedestrian Died After He Was Struck by Vehicle in Wheaton, Police Say

Montgomery County Police (MCPD) said a pedestrian died Tuesday after he was struck by a vehicle in Wheaton.

An adult male was struck on University Boulevard West at Georgia Avenue, MCPD tweeted Tuesday morning. Police said they received the call around 4 a.m., and close to 10 a.m. MCPD announced the man succumbed to his injuries. Police did not release the man or driver’s name or further details about the collision.

Southbound Georgia Avenue at University Boulevard West and eastbound University Boulevard West at Grandview Avenue were temporarily closed following the fatal collision and have reopened, MCPD said.
