Police: Gaithersburg Man Linked to Multiple Burglaries

Police said a Gaithersburg man was arrested for stealing a vehicle and then was linked to multiple crimes.

Travis Jamal Isreal, 33, faces multiple burglary charges, theft charges, and charges of car theft, rogue and vagabond and resisting arrest, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).

According to police, last month on Dec. 13 in Rockville, Isreal stole a 2019 Toyota Rav4 from a residence in the 7300 block of Miller Fall Road. Police said the victim tracked the car to the 100 block of East Deer Park Drive in Gaithersburg and called 911. Officers came and located Isreal in the stolen car, police said, and he tried to run away from officers but was quickly taken into custody.

Police said officers recovered evidence inside the vehicle that connected Isreal to burglaries on Calabar Drive, Tulip Drive, Cottonwood Terrace and Washington Grove Lane. Police also linked him to a front porch theft on Gaither Road and Gaithersburg Police charged him with another burglary on East Deer Park Drive.

Isreal is currently being held without bond, according to police.
