Police Investigate Bank Robbery in Silver Spring

Detectives with the Montgomery County Police are investigating the robbery of a TD Bank that occurred on Nov. 17 in Silver Spring, according to a MCPD press release.

Surveillance video of the suspect has been released and police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

Officers responded to the TD Bank, located at 8661 Colesville Road, at approximately 1:25 p.m. after they received a report for a robbery. After further investigation, the detectives determined that the suspect approached a bank teller and announced the robbery. He then secured an undisclosed amount of cash and left the scene.

 

Anyone with information about the suspect or this bank robbery is asked to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
