Police said detectives are looking for two robbery suspects after a chase led to a crash in Washington, D.C.

Early Tuesday at about 3:15 a.m., “two Black male suspects” went into the Dash-In gas station in the 11100 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, per a release from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD). One implied he had a gun and demanded money from the register, police said, and the employee opened the register.

The suspects left with money and cigarettes. They drove away in a Hyundai Santa Fe that was reported stolen out of Arlington, VA.

Officers found the vehicle in the New Hampshire Avenue and Northampton Drive area.

“The suspects drove away, and a pursuit was initiated, with the suspects driving into DC, where the vehicle crashed near New Hampshire and Longfellow,” per the release.

Police said the two suspects got out and ran away. A female passenger was trapped inside and was extricated by emergency responders in D.C. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to D.C. Fire and EMS on Twitter, at about 4 a.m. a woman was extricated from beneath an overturned vehicle at North Capitol and New Hampshire Ave N.W.

No officers or bystanders were injured in the chase, MCPD said.

The investigation is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Up to $10,000 is offered for information that leads to the suspects’ arrest. Callers can be anonymous.
