Police: Man Shot, Killed in Germantown

Police said a man was shot and killed Friday in Germantown.

Errick Roy Dixon, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene, per a release from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).

At about 8:03 p.m. officers were dispatched to Middlebrook Commons in the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road for multiple calls for shots fired.

Dixon, who was a resident of the complex, was located in a grassy area behind an apartment building suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to police. Several shell casings were found in the parking lot.

Police said no suspect or vehicle description is currently available.

Dixon has been transported for autopsy, police said.
