A pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident in Poolesville near Fisher Avenue and Milford Mill Road early Sunday morning.
According to Montgomery County Police, preliminary investigation indicates a 27-year-old man was struck by an unknown vehicle in the area near 19630 Fisher Ave. The driver did not remain on the scene and has not been located.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit assigned to the case theorize the driver went west on Fisher Avenue in the direction of Elgin Road.
