For years, Quince Orchard High School football has been one of the strongest programs in Maryland. But recently, the Cougars have taken their success to another level.
With multiple state championships, undefeated seasons and a remarkable stretch of consistency, Quince Orchard has established itself as one of the dominant public-school football programs in the region.
After beating Paint Branch to open up the season last week, Quince Orchard has now won 28 straight games. There are no signs of the Cougars slowing down.
“We have great kids that buy in and want to work hard, Quince Orchard Coach John Kelley said. “We have nine games guaranteed to play on Friday nights and we want to embrace that and give it our best every time we are out there.”
The Cougars have won the Class 4A Maryland state championships under Coach Kelley in 2018, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025.
“Our culture is second to none,” Quince Orchard Athletic Director Jeff Rabberman said. “We have been good for awhile but the difference is the culture that we have.”
