Registration Open for Annual Energy Summit

Montgomery County has opened registration for its 11th annual Energy Summit.

The two-day event will take place at the Silver Spring Civic Building from April 15 to April 16. It will prepare the commercial building industry for compliance with upcoming county regulations, according to the county.

Now in its 11th year, the annual Montgomery County Energy Summit stands as a milestone in our sustainability journey and reinforces our commitment to reducing Montgomery County’s carbon footprint,” said Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich.

The first day of the summit will be tailored to building staff and management, and the second to consultants and professionals in the building and energy sectors. Both days will include Innovation Alley, where attendees will interact with exhibits on sustainability.

“I welcome all stakeholders in the commercial and multifamily building industries to join us at this year’s summit as collaborative efforts with government, private and non-profit sectors are essential to achieving our shared climate goals,” said Jon Monger, director of the county’s Department of Environmental Protection.

Two-day tickets for the summit cost $75 and single-day access is $40. Free entry can be requested by emailing energy@montgomerycountymd.gov and detailing the request. Learn more at the summit’s website.
