After searching since Sunday, rescuers found the body of a swimmer who went missing in the Potomac River.
The body of 20-year-old Nazir Bell was recovered Tuesday afternoon, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer.
Bell graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, according to a “Find Nazir” flyer. He was attending Towson University.
Bell was separated from a group while swimming. He had been last seen Sunday evening in the Potomac River around Billy Goat Trail A across from Sandy Landing, according to Piringer.
