Residents raise school safety, special ed questions at Rockville forum

Residents joined an education budget forum in Rockville to discuss their concerns and priorities for public schools, including student violence and safety, special education, and oversight.

County Councilmember Will Jawando and Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Thomas Taylor, Ed.D. answered questions from residents last week at Rockville High School.

Jawando, who chairs of the Council’s Education and Culture Committee, will host a final education budget forum on Wednesday at Einstein High School in Kensington. The meetings include Superintendent Taylor and Montgomery College President Jermaine Williams, Ed.D. The first forum was virtual at the end of February.
