Rockville City, Metro Still Requires Facial Coverings Indoors

While Montgomery County has lifted its indoor face-covering requirement, the City of Rockville continues to mandate the wearing of masks inside city facilities for all employees and visitors who are at least two years old.

Masks also are required when riding Metro trains and buses until at least March 18.

The federal Transportation Security Administration extended its mask mandate so anyone traveling on mass transit throughout the county needs to wear a facial covering.

Masks have been required while riding Metro since May 18, 2020.
