Senator Will Smith Represents District 20

Senator Will Smith was born and raised in Silver Spring, so he’s right at home in the district he now serves. Elected to the Maryland House in 2014, in 2016 he became Maryland’s first African American State Senator. He now works as Chair of the Judicial Proceedings Committee.  And issues surrounding justice form the heart of his proposals for this session, as he told My MCMedia.

Senator Smith enjoys spending time in his district and talks about the diversity of cultures and languages you can find just walking down the street there. If you would like to drop the Senator an email here’s how.

You can find legislative profiles of all of Montgomery County’s State Senators below and on the MCM YouTube channel.
