Montgomery County is the proud home of the Employee of the Year award winner, presented last night at the 44th annual Rammy Awards, Jose Luis Salgado of Zinnia in Silver Spring received the esteemed honor at Arena Stage.
The awards are considered the area’s premier restaurant and hospitality honors given by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW).
Today at the restaurant, General Manager Aidan Rinehart recounted the evening, “It was pretty amazing. When they announced Jose, it was so surreal, we all jumped up and cheered. It was phenomenal”. Salagado’s acceptance speech was short and sweet. “He said he dedicates his life to Zinnia. He wants to make a place for people to be happy, to love, because that’s how he feels about this place”.
Salgado is enjoying a much-deserved day of rest.
Zinnia is no stranger to the awards scene. They also won a Rammy for best beer program of the year in 2024.
