Silver Spring Man Arrested For Possessing Firearm, Stolen Car and Drugs

Montgomery County Police arrested Malick Sebo of Silver Spring and charged him with driving a stolen vehicle, possessing narcotics, and illegal possession of a firearm.

The Silver Spring man was arrested by MCP’s 3rd District Crime Suppression Task Force. At the time of his arrest on Dec. 13, he was carrying a loaded .40 caliber Glock 22 with an extended magazine and mounted laser, according to police.

Police were patrolling downtown Silver Spring at 7:39 p.m. when they noticed a dark gray Honda Accord traveling with an equipment safety violation. They attempted to pull the car over around 13th Street and Georgia Avenue, but Sebo did not stop and made a left turn onto northbound Georgia Avenue, according to police.

Sebo apparently lost control of his car at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Silver Spring Avenue and crashed onto the sidewalk. He then fled on foot, but police apprehended him. They found the loaded gun on the ground near him, and five suspected Oxycodone pills in his wallet.

Inside the stolen Honda, police also found a glass vial containing what they believed to be PCP as well as a small amount of cannabis.

Sebo was released on $750 bond. His trial was set for Feb. 3, 2022.
