Prescription Drug Take-Back day is an opportunity for the public to bring in expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Those interested can bring their prescription to the City of Takoma Park Police Department, at 7500 Maple Ave. Collection boxes will be available in the first floor lobby.

Drugs can be dropped off with no questions asked. Prescription, over the counter and pet medications are accepted. Vape pens and other e-cigarette devices are accepted, but the batteries must be removed. Liquids, inhalers, aerosol cans, lotions and needles are not accepted.

The Takoma Park Police Department will safely dispose of donated items.
