The United States Postal Service (USPS) will host an event to celebrate the issue of new forever stamps at the Baltimore & Ohio Silver Spring Train Station on Saturday, April 1.
The new set of stamps feature four historic stations, including the Point of Rocks station in Maryland. Point of Rocks station is 30 miles North of Silver Spring, located on the same rail line as the Metropolitan Branch of the B&O.
The presentation starts at 11 a.m. Attendees will be able to purchase the stamp and first day cancellations of the stamp. The event is free and open to the public.
This is the second presentation of the stamps. The first ceremony was held at the Cincinnati Union Station on March 9.
