Gregory Jones, 32, of Martinsburg, West Virginia was found guilty of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of two people in Burtonsville in February 2018.
A Montgomery County Circuit Court jury on Dec. 12 also found Jones guilty of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and the use of a firearm in commission with a felony.
He faces the possibility of two life terms without parole plus 40 years for the murders of Ashley Dickinson and Joshua Frazier. His sentencing hearing is set for Feb. 10, 2026.

When Montgomery County Police arrived at Aldora Circle in Silver Spring, they found the two victims inside a parked white Audi Q7. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.
In 2022, Jones was sentenced to 30 years in prison for a separate home invasion and robbery case. That case was overturned.
Jones initially was convicted and sentenced to two terms of life in prison without parole, but his conviction was overturned on appeal.
“This was a vicious, execution-style double murder. Our hearts are with the families of Ashley Dickinson and Joshua Frazier who have had to endure not one, but two trials. We are grateful to our prosecution team and the members of the Montgomery County Police Homicide Division who remain dedicated to the pursuit of justice and ensuring the safety of our community,” said State’s Attorney John McCarthy following the verdict.
