The ban on non-essential water use was lifted as of 1:20 p.m. Monday for all 1.9 million WSSC Water customers. The request had been in effect since Tuesday, Jan. 27.
According to WSSC Water, water distribution system demands and pressure have stabilized. Water storage levels have returned to normal, and WSSC Water is able to keep up with demands.
The utility thanked its customers for their conservation efforts.
Customers are urged to continue reporting suspected water main breaks and leaks by contacting WSSC Water:

- Email emergencycallcenter@wsscwater.com.
- Use the WSSC Water Mobile App – Report a Problem.
Since Jan. 27, the utility has dealt with about 190 water main breaks and leads. Currently, the company is working on 48 active breaks and leaks.
