Washington Wizards’ second-year forward Deni Avdija lit the menorah in Rockville Town Center Thursday evening. Several dozen attended the event, held on the fifth night of Hanukkah, which was sponsored by the Chabad Israeli Center of Rockville. Avdija, 20, was born and grew up in Israel. Many transplanted Israelis were in attendance including several kids who shouted “Deni, Deni” during the ceremony.
