Thursday, around 5 a.m., three cars collided at Georgia Avenue and Locust Grove near the Capital Beltway in the Montgomery Hills area of Silver Spring.
According to Pete Piringer, Public Information Officer for the Montgomery County Police Department, one person was pinned in the accident and extricated by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue (MCFRS). Emergency Medical Services transported the individual to a local hospital along with another person who sustained injuries in the crash.
Montgomery County Police and MCFRS closed Georgia Avenue in both directions as well as the on and off ramps to Interstate 495 in response to the accident.
