Two teenagers had non-life threatening injuries after crashing into a utility pole in Sandy Spring after midnight Sunday, per Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer.

The car overturned into a telephone pole at about 12:30 a.m. in the 16900 block of Norwood Road, near Sandy Spring Friends School, according to Piringer. The two patients were likely unrestrained in the car and were taken to a hospital.

The road was closed following the crash and Piringer said the utility pole was damaged.
